The 'Skater of the Month' for May 2014 is...

MERYL DAVIS

                        

Congrats, to Meryl Davis for being 'Skater of the Month'.  This month she was a huge inspiration.  With inconvenient practice hours, constant traveling and constant skating, Meryl has won Dancing With the Stars.  Meryl gave amazing performance, and gave it her all.  With an average score of 28.40 and 6 10s, Meryl became the Dancing With the Stars Season 18 Champion.  It must've took a lot of effort, with the short practices and traveling because at the same time Meryl Davis was also performing in Stars On Ice.  Thank you Meryl, for being a great inspiration.

What is Skater of the Month?

Skater of the month, is when we pick a senior level figure skater that we think has accomplished a lot that month and blog about their amazing achievment.  Each month, we'll blog around the end of the month, then you can see which skater really inspired us with their achievments.  If you would like to suggest a senior level figure skater, go to the comment section of the latest post and comment who you want to be 'Skater of the Month' for that month and a good reason why.

Example:

I would like Meryl Davis to be 'Skater of the Month' because of her Dancing with the Stars achievment while she was doing Stars On Ice.

Don't be disapointed if the skater you recomended doesn't win.  Just keep trying, and your favorite figure skater might just end up as 'Skater of the Month'.
